As members of the Development Team, student leaders focus on the growth of GJIA as an academic journal brand and as a student organization on campus.

Since its founding in 1998, the Georgetown Journal of International Affairs has exemplified the role of students in academic discourse. As members of the Development Team, student leaders are at the forefront of shaping the journal’s trajectory, both as a distinguished academic brand and as a dynamic student organization on campus. This unique position empowers them with substantial opportunities to hone their leadership skills, strategically influence the journal’s growth, and engage with key stakeholders in the international academic community, truly embodying the leadership potential that development leaders can achieve.

We have finished hiring for the Fall 2025 semester, and the hiring cycle for the Spring 2026 semester will begin in January 2026.

No editorial experience is required to join the Journal, and students from all undergraduate schools and master’s programs are encouraged to apply.

Accommodation requests must be submitted to gjia@georgetown.edu.
