As members of the Development Team, student leaders focus on the growth of GJIA as an academic journal brand and as a student organization on campus.
Since its founding in 1998, the Georgetown Journal of International Affairs has exemplified the role of students in academic discourse. As members of the Development Team, student leaders are at the forefront of shaping the journal’s trajectory, both as a distinguished academic brand and as a dynamic student organization on campus. This unique position empowers them with substantial opportunities to hone their leadership skills, strategically influence the journal’s growth, and engage with key stakeholders in the international academic community, truly embodying the leadership potential that development leaders can achieve.

The Georgetown Journal of International Affairs (GJIA) is now hiring Editorial Assistants and Development staff for the Spring 2025 semester.
Join the development team to see a policy journal’s inner workings and play a leading role in shaping GJIA’s organizational growth and exciting new initiatives! This year, the board has opted for a general information session for all interested applicants.
Members of the GJIA Board will be hosting an information session on Thursday, January 16th, in the Leavey Program Room from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM. All interested applicants are encouraged to attend this session to discuss any questions and ideas with us. Accommodation requests must be submitted to gjia@georgetown.edu no later than Wednesday, January 15th.
